Ingredients:
- 1 tsp (2g) matcha powder
- 2 oz (60ml) hot water
- 1 cup (240ml) unsweetened almond milk
- 1/2 tsp (1g) ground cinnamon
- 1 pinch (0.1g) sea salt
- 1 tsp (5ml) honey
- 1/4 tsp (1ml) vanilla extract
Instructions:
- Sift the matcha powder into a bowl to remove lumps. Pour in the hot water (175°F/80°C) and whisk vigorously in a 'W' motion for 30–60 seconds until a thick, frothy layer of bubbles forms on the surface.
- Pour the almond milk into a saucepan over medium-low heat. Stir in the ground cinnamon and salt. Heat gently until steaming, ensuring it does not reach a rolling boil.
- Stir the honey and vanilla extract into the warm milk. Slowly pour the spiced milk over the matcha concentrate and whisk one last time to integrate the layers.
