Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp (2g) matcha powder
  • 2 oz (60ml) hot water
  • 1 cup (240ml) unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 tsp (1g) ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch (0.1g) sea salt
  • 1 tsp (5ml) honey
  • 1/4 tsp (1ml) vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Sift the matcha powder into a bowl to remove lumps. Pour in the hot water (175°F/80°C) and whisk vigorously in a 'W' motion for 30–60 seconds until a thick, frothy layer of bubbles forms on the surface.
  2. Pour the almond milk into a saucepan over medium-low heat. Stir in the ground cinnamon and salt. Heat gently until steaming, ensuring it does not reach a rolling boil.
  3. Stir the honey and vanilla extract into the warm milk. Slowly pour the spiced milk over the matcha concentrate and whisk one last time to integrate the layers.
